Sr Software Engineer provides the technical and architectural solutions for integrating applications, programs, tools, and data on enterprise Ecommerce projects. This position leads the technical development team to ensure the deliverables meet the exit criteria.

Job Requirements

  • ‍Develop designs, configuration, and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform using core developer services such as: API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, RDS, ECS, SWF, Step Function, Fargate etc.
  • Design and create AWS Infrastructure as Code following cloud best practices for consistent and repeatable deployment
  • Review designs, code, and other deliverables developed by the extended team to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Knowledge of retail, distribution, and supply chain domain fundamentals
  •  Assist solution architect and team leads with developing estimates and schedule for development components
  • Work with cloud engineering teams to design and develop cloud native systems
  • Must have experience building enterprise scale applications involving integrations with external systems
  •  Perform root cause analysis (RAC) of production issues to determine problem and recommend solutions
  • Perform QA testing on deliverables to ensure the highest quality of software
  •  Work cross-functionally across geographies and time zones
  • Contributes to organization building functions such as hiring, training, mentoring, team building

Essential Qualifications

  • ‍5+ years of IT experience with at least 2+ years of technical consultant experience for Ecommerce development project
  • 2+ years' experience developing full stack solutions and utilizing software build and deployment tools (Git, Bitbucket, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeBuild
  • 2+ years web application development experience (React, Angular, HTML, CSS, NodeJS, JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of cloud (AWS) serverless solutions (S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda Functions, ElastiCache, SQS, MQ, RDS, SWF, Step Functions
  • Experience with containerization (Fargate, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience working with cloud deployment languages (CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Ansible
  • Good understanding of cloud services and infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, VPC, SG, NACL)
  • Experience with creating prototypes, mockups, and staging sites for POCs and review/feedback
  • Experience working directly with customers, partners or third-party developers
  • Participate in day to day interactions with clients and team members
  • Must be self-motivated and assertive while possessing the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a team environment
  • Excellent writing, analytical and quality assurance skills with exceptional attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills with minimal direction
  • Experience with Digital Commerce, Order Management, Order Fulfillment and overall supply chain and supporting systems (Commerce Platforms, OMS, WMS, TMS, Planning and Replenishment
  • Proficient in Jira and familiar with Agile methodologies
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical and/or supply chain field, or equivalent work experience

Desirable Skills

  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Experience with retail Order Management System such as IBM Sterling Distributed Order Management (DOM), Manhattan OMS, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud Order Management
  • Experience with IBM Sterling Order Hub and Global Inventory Visibility (GIV) and/or Inventory Visibility (IV)
  • Has ability to work in a lightweight process environment, including requirements and test planning documentation
  • Self-motivated and works with minimal direction
  • Has knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, SAML 2.0 etc)
  • Has good understanding in implementation of advanced security, authentication and single sign on across cloud and on premise
  • Have implemented a DevOps model on AWS
  • Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration
